Urth UND1000PL82 Overview
How to Use ND Filters: An Introduction
This 82mm ND1000 (10-Stop) Neutral Density Filter (Plus+) from Urth is a solid neutral density filter that reduces exposure by 10-stops for finer control with long exposure and motion blur techniques when shooting in bright light. With less light entering the camera, wider apertures can be used in bright light for shallower depth of field and enhanced control over bokeh without overexposing images.
This filter is made with premium Schott optical glass and features 20 layers of nano-coating, providing a high maximum light transmission and a more consistent transmission curve for truer light reduction. This coating also provides easier cleaning and better protection against water, oil, and scratches, making it ideal for use on location and in harsh environments. The filter’s magnalium filter ring is lightweight and slim, suitable for use with wide angle lenses, and features front threads for attaching a lens cap or stacking additional filters.
