What is Mesh?

Enjoy fast, reliable wireless connectivity while sitting on your porch or other outdoor space with the Deco X50-Outdoor AX3000 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi Unit from TP-Link. With waterproof and dustproof certification, this Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) module may be mounted outside on a wall or pole using the included kit to deliver up to 3156 Mb/s data transfer speeds over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, covering up to 2500 square feet.

You can use this module as a satellite to an existing mesh network or as a router by connecting either of its auto-sensing Gigabit Ethernet ports to your broadband modem. Support for power over Ethernet (PoE) provides you with added flexibility by allowing you to transfer data and power over a single cable with compatible devices. Use the convenient Deco app for iOS and Android to quickly get set up.

Fast Wi-Fi By taking advantage of the 160 MHz channels, the Deco X50-Outdoor can transfer up to 2402 Mb/s over the 5 GHz band and 754 Mb/s on the 2.4 GHz frequency. MU-MIMO and OFDMA technologies helps to provide reliable and efficient connections with up to 150 compatible devices. Flexible Wired Connections The dual Gigabit Ethernet ports automatically sense when they’re connected with a broadband modem or a device such as a computer. You can also connect multiple Deco X50-Outdoor units together to create a dedicated wired backhaul between devices. HomeShield Security In addition to WP3 encryption, the Deco X50-Outdoor unit includes a host of TP-Link HomeShield features that help to protect you from online threats and set up parental controls. A paid subscription is required for access to advanced features. Deco App Quickly set up, manage, and monitor your network with the free Deco app for iOS and Android. Voice Control With Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant compatibility, you can issue voice commands to control functions such as turning on the guest login. Mesh Compatible All Deco devices may be used together to create a mesh network, which expands coverage while using a single network ID (SSID) for seamless connections as you move across your home.
